International Logistics Manager

Job Summary

Lead the import supply chain operations team and direct the transportation of goods into the distribution network. Serve as a key leader partnering with international carriers, freight forwarders, drayage providers, and transload operators to maintain high service levels and execute global logistics strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in international logistics, import operations or supply chain.
• Previous management experience.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Uses systems, reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance, identifies trends, and implements corrective actions to improve efficiency.
• Led continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance service levels, reduce international transportation costs, and strengthen overall network resilience.
• Oversees inbound freight operations from purchase order creation through delivery to distribution centers, providing escalation support to resolve complex logistical issues.
• Builds and manages relationships with international service providers, including freight forwarders, ocean/air carriers, customs brokers, and drayage partners, through defined service reviews and performance management.
• Ensures operational compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation controls.
• PARTNERS CROSS-FUNCTIONALLY WITH SOURCING, PLANNING, MERCHANDISING, FINANCE, AND DOMESTIC DISTRIBUTION TEAMS TO SUPPORT PRODUCT FLOW AND MINIMIZE SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTION.
• COACHES AND DEVELOPS TEAM MEMBERS TO BUILD TECHNICAL CAPABILITY, STRENGTHEN EXECUTION, AND MAINTAIN CLEAR PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

Education and Experience

• TYPICALLY REQUIRES BS/BA IN A RELATED DISCIPLINE.
• GENERALLY 7+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN A RELATED FIELD.
• MAY REQUIRE CERTIFICATION.
• ADVANCED DEGREE MAY OFFSET LESS EXPERIENCE IN SOME DISCIPLINES.
