Logistics Quality and Documentation Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle count execution, audits, discrepancy investigations, and corrective action implementation.
  • Lead inventory control processes, including cycle counting, NIL (Not In Location) investigations, bin-to-bin transfers, and inventory reconciliation activities.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCCA) related to inventory variances, warehouse complaints, shipping errors, and customer service issues.
  • Cook daily shipping documentation and logistics transactions, including shipment creation, delivery allocation, IDOC processing, label generation, and shipping paperwork accuracy.
  • Execute SAP transactions accurately and timely, including goods receipts, inventory movements, backflush processing, and shipment transactions.
  • Manage customer sample shipments, special shipping orders (SSOs), hazardous material documentation, and FedEx Ground hazardous shipments.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Planning, Customer Service, and Logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory management, timely shipment execution, and effective issue resolution.
  • Monitor logistics performance and utilization through systems and reporting tools such as SAP, Tableau, Trailer Tracker, and other supply chain platforms.
  • Support transportation and warehouse optimization efforts by identifying opportunities to reduce storage, detention, demurrage, and leased asset costs.
  • Coordinate internal material movements to support production, including raw materials, intermediates, packaging, and bulk products.
  • Maintain organized and compliant logistics documentation, records, and filing systems, both electronic and physical.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancement opportunities and leading improvements from concept through implementation.
  • Communicate proactively regarding operational challenges, delays, and risks while collaborating with stakeholders to develop timely solutions.
  • Maintain compliance with all training requirements, quality standards, safety procedures, and documented supply chain processes.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment focused on accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of Logistics and/or Supply Chain experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others, demonstrating great and positive teamwork.
  • Change Management Skills - need to be able to create ideas, drive execution, and/or support changes.
  • Problem-solving and solutions-driven work experience in utilizing the SAP ERP platform.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 years working in SAP specifically Inventory management and logistics.
  • Warehouse and/or Logistics management experience with emphasis on Inventory Management and shipping.
