About the role

The Logistics Project Manager directly supports Nordex’s mission to develop and deliver clean power plants that make 100% renewable energy a reality. You will lead, coordinate, and oversee logistics and supply-chain projects from initiation to completion, streamlining operations, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery of goods while optimizing costs and efficiency.

You will oversee the entire logistics process for active projects, including managing contractors, controlling budgets, obtaining permits, optimizing routes, handling transportation-tool returns, coordinating site deliveries, and supporting vessel operations. The role also involves managing orders, order-fulfillment cycles, and the safe, effective movement of supplies and materials through the delivery system.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-end ownership of assigned logistics projects
  • Budget management and cost control for all assigned projects
  • Execution of logistics-supplier contracts on assigned projects
  • Completion of customs documentation with carriers, brokers, and forwarders
  • Lead meetings, prepare reports, and provide regular updates to senior management
  • Ensure Nordex safety instructions are followed during all port operations (vessel discharge, storage, truck loading)
  • Ensure route surveys are completed and provided per contractual milestones
  • Plan, execute, and monitor logistics and supply-chain projects aligned with company goals and client requirements
  • Manage all route improvements for components to meet contractual delivery schedules
  • Support port operations to ensure all logistics stakeholders adhere to company safety and instructional processes
  • Manage risk and develop contingency plans for supply-chain disruptions
  • Provide industry-requirement information to assist in negotiations and transportation contracts
  • Ensure all logistics suppliers have proper permits to execute project operations
  • Oversee return logistics for assigned projects
  • Collaborate with transportation suppliers, procurement, and internal stakeholders
  • Utilize logistics software and project-management tools to track KPIs and performance metrics
  • Communicate shipment and delivery status
  • Resolve logistical issues and project roadblocks proactively and efficiently
  • Analyze cost drivers, processes, and specifications to identify cost and performance-improvement opportunities
  • Create commercial invoices and packing lists
  • Stay informed of logistics-technology advances and apply appropriate technology to improve processes
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience (3–5 years)
  • 3+ years’ experience in transportation planning/project cargo
  • Ability to read and understand scopes of work and MSA contracts
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations and compliance for different countries
  • Experience working with cost models and/or performing cost analysis
  • Excellent project-management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Knowledge of SAP is preferred
  • Strong process and data-analysis focus
  • Demonstrated understanding of international and domestic transportation documentation requirements
  • Knowledge of rigging and lifting tooling is a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice to meet with project stakeholders and internal colleagues
  • Excellent oral, written, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail
  • Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability/experience working in a constantly changing environment
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; French, Spanish, or German is a plus
  • Must possess a full, valid driver’s license and be insurable under Nordex’s auto insurance policy (periodic driver’s-abstract checks will be conducted)

  • Speak and understand English fluently to follow safety instructions and collaborate with English-speaking supervisors and team members

Pay

Exempt role with a base salary range of $95,000–$110,000 USD and up to a 15% annual bonus. Individual compensation packages are based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
