Logistics Procurement Systems Analyst

About the role

Logistics Procurement Systems Analyst in Morton, IL, supporting logistics procurement by managing and improving procurement technology, rate management systems, and related processes. Focus on driving operational excellence, system adoption, compliance, and continuous improvement through data analysis, process optimization, and strategic procurement support.

Responsibilities

• Develop improvement plans to support buyers & professionals related to Response Time, Lean Targets Quality, Cost, Logistics, Development, and Management (QCLDM) to enable optimal and efficient operations.
• Perform analysis and maintenance of assigned processes that produce output excellence, build expertise for the assigned process area, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Support customers and customer proposal efforts with pricing information and supplier selection.
• Perform analytical and administrative tasks in support of purchasing strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• Data-driven Decision Making: Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.
• Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
• Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Procurement Systems: Knowledge of the features, functions and operations of a specific procurement system; ability to develop and use tools, techniques, and practices for a specific procurement application.
• Previous experience with Salesforce.
• Previous experience with reporting tools, such as PowerBi.
• Purchasing Tasks and Activities: Knowledge of policies, regulations and processes of purchasing; ability to use practices and procedures for procurement of materials, components, equipment and services.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience.
• Logistics Management: Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials; ability to understand, predict and control the movement of goods, materials and supplies.

Pay

Pay range: $89,210.00 - $133,810.00

Schedule

This position requires working onsite five days a week. Required travel: less than 10% domestic.
