As a Logistics Specialist, you will coordinate and manage supply chain operations to ensure efficient movement of goods and materials. The role requires strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and an understanding of logistics software and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring proper inventory control.
- Coordinate shipments, select carriers, and track deliveries to ensure timely distribution.
- Oversee warehouse procedures, ensuring goods are stored, handled, and shipped efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in transportation, warehousing, and procurement.
- Address logistics-related issues and ensure customer satisfaction through timely deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of supply chain management and logistics operations.
- Proficiency in logistics and inventory management software (e.g., SAP, TMS, WMS).
- Understanding of shipping regulations, documentation, and transportation logistics.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and shipping documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of lean logistics and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP).
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CLTD).
- Experience in international shipping and customs regulations.
