Logistics Operator
About the role
Daily activities will include performing a wide range of assignments, such as moving and stacking skids, containers, and pallets; as well as loading, unloading, and moving materials and product in the Richland Mississippi Location.
Responsibilities
- Performing tasks including moving and stacking skids, containers, and pallets
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials and products
- Receiving, storing / stocking, identifying, and issuing material by name, part, or drawing number
- Verifying count, condition, and integrity of all material received
- Collecting and transporting material as needed using various equipment like Jitneys, tow motors, cranes
- Receiving, identifying, marking, storing, and issuing a wide variety of bars, tubings, pipes, and related material
- Operating UPS, FedEx, and DHL machines to create shipping labels for relevant material
- Assisting areas with locating required material, putting kits together, and packaging and labeling
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-3 years of material logistics experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Willingness to work second shift and be flexible enough to work first or third shifts on occasion as per business requirements
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, with basic to intermediate computer skills
