Position Overview: The Logistics Operations Analyst is responsible for managing day-to-day inbound and outbound transportation operations across the U.S. Parts Distribution Center (PDC) network. This role focuses on service performance, cost control, freight audit accuracy, and process optimization. The analyst serves as a key liaison between logistics operations, finance, and external service providers—ensuring accurate freight payments, invoice validation, and audit compliance. The role also supports dangerous goods (DG) compliance, reporting, and data analytics to enhance operational visibility and decision-making.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operations & Transportation Management
- Act as subject matter expert and transportation support for all U.S. entities (PLS, PCNA, PDoA, PMNA)
- Monitor and manage end-to-end shipment flow from origin to final delivery
- Communicate with and oversee service providers (ocean, air, DDS, trucking, parcel)
- Support PDCs in maintaining service levels, quality, and operational consistency
- Freight Audit, Payment & Financial Controls
- Manage the freight invoice approval process, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Serve as primary liaison with freight audit providers, overseeing performance and issue resolution
- Analyze freight invoices and audit results to identify:
- billing discrepancies
- cost drivers
- savings opportunities
- Provide regular reporting and feedback to management on audit findings and trends
- Ensure alignment between operational activity and financial outcomes
- Analytics & Reporting
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, VBA)
- Perform ongoing analysis of:
- transportation costs
- service levels
- claims and damages
- carrier performance
- Apply analytical tools to identify trends, predict outcomes, and drive improvements
- Process Improvement & Standardization
- Partner with logistics leadership to optimize processes, reduce costs, and improve service levels
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the PDC network
- Evaluate packaging and handling processes to reduce damages and improve efficiency
- Dangerous Goods & Compliance
- Support DG compliance across all PDCs
- Train and certify employees in dangerous goods handling and packaging requirements
- Develop training materials and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or Industrial Engineering
- Certified IATA Dangerous Goods Trainer or DGR Category 6 certificate preferred
- Experience:
- Experience in international and domestic logistics, supply chain management, or operations preferred
- Working knowledge and experience in hazardous materials, and safety or cargo operations preferred
- Experience with freight audit, invoice validation, or financial controls preferred
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Excel (required)
- Power BI (preferred)
- VBA (strong plus)
- Experience managing large datasets and reporting tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Customer-focused mindset
- Coaching or mentoring skills preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Fluency in English (Spanish or German is a plus)

Pay
- The salary range for this role is $76,000.00 to $86,000.00 per year. However, it is important to note that at Porsche compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset.
- Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
- In addition to salary, individuals may be eligible for a discretionary performance bonus.
