Logistics Op

The Logistics Operator Department at Pyromation is seeking a motivated individual to join our team. We are a leading manufacturer of temperature sensors and thermowells, and as a part of TASI Measurement, we offer competitive salaries, generous benefits, and flexible work schedules.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for verifying parts and packing them using various materials and methods. The Logistics Operator also creates manifests for shipment with carriers, generates shipping paperwork, and arranges carrier pick-ups if necessary.

Responsibilities

• MATCH FINISHED GOODS AND PARTS WITH DOCUMENTATION AND CHECK CORRECT TYPE AND QUANTITY BEING SHIPPED
• UTILIZE HAND TOOLS, LIGHT POWER TOOLS AND OTHER SPECIAL EQUIPMENT TO BUILD PROTECTIVE PACKAGING; MAY RECEIVE DIRECTION IN THE FORM OF VERBAL OR WRITTEN WORK TO COMPLETE ASSIGNED WORK
• PACK SHIPPING CARTONS WITH PARTS IN COMPLIANCE WITH STANDARD WORK TO PREVENT DAMAGE AND/OR EXCESS COSTS
• AccURATELY GENERATE CARRIER SHIPPING LABELS AND SHIPPING DOCUMENTS
• STAGE OUTBOUND SHIPMENTS BY CARRIER
• FOLLOW WORK INSTRUCTIONS AND TRAINING GUIDES
• FOLLOW SAFETY RULES AND WEAR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE)
• ALL OTHER RELATED DUTIES AS REQUIRED

Qualifications

• High School education or an equivalence of a G.E.D. required
• Shipping or receiving experience a plus

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift or move items (typically up to 50 lbs).
• Use hands and arms to handle or operate tools and equipment.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
