Logistics Manager

About the role
Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Logistics Manager to partner with Infrastructure teams and a wide array of Amazon stakeholders to manage communication, team metrics, and deliverables or milestones. This role requires analytical strength, attention to detail, open communication, and the ability to work autonomously. The Logistics Manager ensures streamlined activities within the organization, drives team invention and simplification, and develops strong individuals who take responsibility and improve organizational culture. This position is located in Berwick, PA.
Responsibilities
- Guarantee the organization runs smoothly to meet customer and business expectations on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Develop performance goals and objectives, build and execute productivity plans, and determine labor requirements.
- Set and meet timelines that align with business and customer expectations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for communication and escalation for internal and external teams.
- Develop team strategies, vision, and goals in alignment with the broader organization.
- Ensure operational practices comply with legislation and policy.
- Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, and process change initiatives.
- Facilitate team coordination, cohesion, and personal and team growth and development.
- Hold regularly scheduled 1:1s focused on personal development and ensure accountability.
- Champion continuous improvement by standardizing processes and conducting post-deployment evaluations.
- Conduct monthly audits using a standardized checklist.
- Lead team meetings and represent Logistics locally and/or globally.
- Travel between sites and across the cluster as needed.
- Design and implement the risk assessment framework for the AWS transportation program.
- Anticipate challenges and manage compliance for fleet and driver regulations.
- Think tactically and strategically to establish team structures, set visions, and achieve consensus on priorities.
- Ensure outcomes are auditable, decisions are data-driven, and work quality is measurable.
- Allocate time for operational metrics, customer intake mechanisms, team training, and documentation.
- Prioritize root cause resolution, automation, and projects that improve customer experience and deliverable quality.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of logistics operations experience.
- 4+ years of shipping & receiving, inventory, and warehousing practices experience.
- 5+ years of work in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail or operations, or 3+ years of management experience.
- Experience working in supply chain, transportation, project management, or management consulting.
- Experience prioritizing and managing time effectively in dynamic environments.
- Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, storage, network, security, database administration, and cloud infrastructure.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or similar tools like Outlook and OneNote.

Pay
USA, PA, BERWICK - $113,600.00 - $160,000.00 USD annually.
