Logistics Management Specialist (Data Analyst)
About the role
The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking a Logistics Management Specialist (Data Analyst) to support the acquisition phases of assigned systems, programs, or major equipment within the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC).
Responsibilities
- Provide maintenance data analysis to assist Product Groups in developing funding inputs and procurement requirements.
- Assess system/equipment performance and identify problem areas or deficiencies; provide recommendations on improvements and modernization requirements.
- Serve as a representative and spokesperson in communicating CAvSE data program matters, supporting senior leaders in making data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- May be required to travel for temporary duty.
- Certifications/Licenses: May have extended/other than normal duty hours.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic theories and principles of systems design, business intelligence tools, and relational database models.
- Skilled in programming and data query languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Ability to present data visualizations such as charts, metrics, and graphs.
- Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, and acquisition.
- Knowledge of maintenance management principles, ability to monitor maintenance information systems (MIS) to evaluate KPIs.
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.

- Proficient in programs such as Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.

Pay
Salary Range: $75,788 - $98,530 yearly with locality.
