Logistics Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Support domestic and international transportation activities.
• Aid in freight planning and carrier management.
• Monitor shipment status and delivery performance.
• Resolve transportation delays and service issues.
• Assist with warehouse and distribution operations.
• Support inventory movement across manufacturing sites and distribution centers.

Transportation Analytics

• Analyze freight spend and transportation performance.
• Maintain carrier performance and on-time delivery metrics.
• Support freight optimization initiatives.
• Conduct logistics network analysis and transportation planning.
• Identify opportunities to reduce transportation costs and improve service.

Data Analytics & Reporting

• Extract and analyze data from SAP, TMS, Excel, and other business systems.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
• Track key logistics metrics including on-time delivery, freight cost, transportation spend, carrier performance, warehouse productivity, inventory turns, and perfect order performance.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
• SAP or Transportation Management System (TMS) experience is a plus.
• SQL or Python knowledge is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
