About the Role
The Logistics Inbound Manager is responsible for optimizing and streamlining the company's supply chain and logistics operations. This role leads the end-to-end logistics process from Mexico factory or China origin through to final customers, analyzing and evaluating logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory, and distribution to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery and good condition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, operations, customer service) to optimize the supply chain process, ensuring the right products are available at the right locations and times to meet customer demands.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure logistics efficiency and effectiveness; regularly monitor and report on KPIs to identify deviations and propose corrective actions.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities within logistics while maintaining high-quality standards; analyze vendor performance, transportation, and warehousing costs; negotiate contracts to reduce overall expenses.
- Lead the full end-to-end process, including international shipment management, carrier management, order management, and cost analysis.
- Manage and lead carrier bidding processes.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring, and troubleshoot issues with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business Management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Logistics or Supply Chain.
- Experience with international suppliers and carriers.
- Proficiency in Excel (Pivot Table & Lookup functions required) and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
- Willing and able to travel internationally and domestically (up to 50%).
Preferred Skills
- Bilingual in English and Chinese (Mandarin) or Spanish.
- Electronics logistics experience.
- Experience with SAP, TMS, or other logistics software.
