Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver all products in an accurate, safe and prompt manner
• Secure cargo for transport as outlined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety standards using chains/binders to conform with local, state and federal regulations
• Load and unload truck in most efficient manner, ensuring orders match manifests
• Conduct pre/post/periodic trip inspections to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good operating order at all times
• Maintain interior and exterior of truck to reflect professional appearance
• Maintain daily hours and service log according to state and federal regulations
• Demonstrate and instruct customer on the proper operation of equipment
• Train drivers, as needed
• Operate a forklift, as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of CDL driving experience, including heavy-haul and tractor/lowboy driving
• Valid CDL A licensure, required
• Excellent driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Thorough knowledge of DOT and Company safety standards and regulations
• Capable of operating, demonstrating and instructing proper equipment operation
• Able to operate a forklift
• Willingness to work additional hours as required by job and customer demand

Qualifications

• Physical requirements: Frequently sitting for extended periods of time, regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally move and/or lift up to 75 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Pay

Starting Compensation Range: $28.53 -$41.32 per hour
