About the role
The Lead Logistics Coordinator III – Federal (Warehouse) is responsible for receiving, tracking, shipping, and documenting materials for various customers’ programs. Provides backup support to the Warehouse Manager. Oversees daily operations are completed and communicates any issues or escalations needed to the Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Warehouse Manager on on-call schedules and procedures
- Acts as Warehouse Manager when the Warehouse Manager is unavailable
- Oversees daily shipping operations to ensure completeness and accuracy
- Ensures security protocols are followed
- Oversees employees assigned to shipping by Warehouse Manager
- Coordinates all deployment and sustainment outbound shipments
- Handles and maintains flow of materials in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines
- Updates two databases when completing shipping requests
- Maintains accurate shipping records
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Manages warehouse supplies inventory
- Responsible for forklift maintenance and safety
- Organizes and files daily checklists
- Schedules maintenance
- Keeps forklifts charged or fueled
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices
- Maintains accurate records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items
- Must be flexible to work on-call and/or shift differential schedules
- May operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Follows all CenturyLink and local safety policies and guidelines
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 4 years experience in logistics supporting federal contracts
- Certified to operate forklifts at the Herndon facility
- Flexibility to work both indoors and outdoors
- Good penmanship, written, and verbal communication skills
- Strong people skills and team-oriented attitude
- Good physical condition: capable of standing all day and safely lifting 50 pounds above the waist
- Clean driving record
- Ability to work effectively and positively in a fast-paced environment
- Team player able to prioritize workload for warehouse personnel
- Provide excellent customer service
- High School degree or GED certificate
- Good knowledge of FAR requirements (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
- US Citizenship required
- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information (applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation)
Pay
Location-based pay ranges: $62,061 - $82,748 in Virginia.
