Responsibilities
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (LTL, FTL, parcel, etc.)
- Partner with carriers, brokers, and vendors to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Maintain organized and accurate shipping and receiving records, including scanning and filing documentation
- Utilize Excel and system reporting tools to track shipments, freight costs, and performance metrics
- Monitor key performance indicators (on-time delivery, cost efficiency, error rates) and identify trends or opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies, GMP standards, and applicable transportation regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with carriers, freight scheduling, or inventory management systems
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment, preferably within food or beverage production
- Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and adherence to quality and safety standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehouse operations
- Strong organizational, critical thinking, and planning abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills (email, phone, and in-person)
- Proficiency with systems such as Business Central, Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and Smartsheet
- A high sense of urgency with the ability to drive tasks and projects to completion
- A collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
- Knowledge of transportation regulations, routing, and freight documentation (BOLs, packing lists, etc.)
