About the Role

The Sales Coordinator provides order management, backlog management, and logistics support for Customers and Sales associates in the assigned capital equipment value stream, supporting the Healthcare business. This role manages orders from quote to delivery through install, interacting with Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, Traffic, and Service to ensure fulfillment of Customer requirements. The Sales Coordinator supports ongoing business operations, ensures requests are met, and quality targets are reached and sustained.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the STERIS liaison for capital equipment business, requiring high attention, initiative, and follow-up.
  • Manage order and backlog, resolve hold issues, and coordinate logistics through installation.
  • Ensure all actions comply with department policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate the order process for new Customers by completing credit applications and account setup requests.
  • Review and validate purchase order information using the contract review process.
  • Accurately record information into the Oracle order management system.
  • Review and prepare special billing documentation.
  • Manage Customer capital and consumables order backlog, including daily review of scheduled ship dates, resolution of credit holds, and order changes to meet Customer expectations.
  • Run reports related to overall order management.
  • Ensure timely order entry, holds resolution, or logistics coordination to meet Customer requirements.
  • Verify order details for correct setup and coordination of product shipment from various plant and vendor locations to the designated delivery point.
  • Obtain and document all delivery requirements per Customer specifications.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Credit, Customer Service Management, Logistics, and Customers to resolve outstanding order management issues.
  • Process and revise quotations to meet GPO contract requirements.
  • Assist Sales with processing and forwarding necessary paperwork, including credit applications, quotes, and SBW.
  • Provide data to Sales, such as pricing, order status, hold issues, backorders, freight quotes, order consolidation, and delivery information.
  • Work with Planning to ensure availability and timely delivery of capital equipment orders.
  • Coordinate with Traffic to expedite emergency shipments, deliveries, and freight estimates.
  • Ensure orders comply with STERIS Terms and Conditions and resolve exceptions with Sales.
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with Customers and Sales while providing excellent Customer Service.
  • Investigate product complaints and work with the RMA team for timely resolution.
  • Utilize available resources to update and increase knowledge on products, systems, procedures, and corporate initiatives.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including standard work and root-cause-countermeasure processes for key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work within Lean tracking tools and provide data for monthly performance documentation against KPIs.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and support resulting action plans.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Up to 5% travel may be required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 to 2 years of business experience with direct contact with Customers, Vendors, and Sales.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
  • 1 to 2 years of project management experience.

Pay

Pay range for this opportunity is $48,500.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than the range listed. Pay rates are based on factors including local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, and foreign language fluency.
