The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily freight operations while delivering exceptional service to customers and carrier partners. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring shipments move efficiently from pickup through delivery while learning the transportation industry and ShipNova's operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate freight shipments from pickup through final delivery
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively identify potential service disruptions
• Communicate shipment updates with customers, carriers, and internal teams
• Schedule pickup and delivery appointments
• Resolve shipment delays, service exceptions, and operational issues
• Maintain accurate shipment information within the Transportation Management System (TMS)
• Ensure all required shipping documentation is complete and organized
• Build relationships with carriers to support successful shipment execution
• Work closely with Account Managers and Sales to deliver an exceptional customer experience
• Assist with reporting, data entry, and operational tracking
• Learn industry best practices while continually expanding logistics knowledge

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 0–2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, operations, or a related field
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in freight brokerage, transportation, supply chain, or dispatch
• Experience working with customers or vendors
• Familiarity with transportation management software (preferred but not required)
