Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities

  • Accepting customer loads upon approval of the Logistics Account Manager
  • Building, booking, and organizing loads
  • Tracking loads
  • Notifying customers of freight arrivals, pickups, movement, and deliveries
  • Maintaining lines of communication with carriers, customers, shipping, and receiving facilities
  • Data entry into fleet management system and online customer/vendor platforms
  • Retaining records of purchase orders and various administrative or clerical support tasks
  • Contacting customers, carriers, or distribution facilities to resolve problems or make adjustments as needed
  • Continuously communicating with the Logistics Account Manager and trainee(s) to ensure proper maintenance of accounts
  • Negotiating contracts for individual freight shipments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associates degree in Business Administration or other related fields of logistics strongly preferred
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish), strongly preferred
  • Strongly prefer proactive thinking and planning ability
  • Strong knowledge of multiple transportation and logistics disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and problem-solve
  • 1+ years of load planning, data coordinating, or transportation and customer service experience, strongly preferred
