Logistics Coordinator

About the role

In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and work processes across departments in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position requires collaboration with teams such as Production, Purchasing, Inventory Control, Shipping, Customer Service, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data to produce reports on labor utilization and operational efficiency.
• Prepare and compile work order packages, including the creation of necessary labels.
• Schedule and prioritize production work orders for specific work centers and product lines.
• Assist Production Planners in developing and maintaining production cell schedules.
• Verify and address part shortages to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Place hardware orders by forecasting supply and demand requirements.
• Generate and distribute daily operational reports for team review.
• Validate sales order checklists and create associated serial tags.
• Support the Shipping Department by generating and managing crating labels as needed.
• Expedite customer orders through the Warehouse to meet delivery timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel Pivot Tables and Formulas); familiarity with Access is a plus.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
