About the role

The Logistics Account Coordinator supports customer service and logistics operations for the domestic and international movement of recycled materials. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers while coordinating shipments, resolving issues, managing documentation, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and freight carriers. The position contributes to efficient logistics operations and the timely processing of waste by-products.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate with customers to monitor inventories and schedule equipment for waste by-product movement.
  • Arrange and negotiate freight costs using approved carriers.
  • Monitor shipment status through internal computer systems.
  • Respond promptly to customer complaints and investigate shipment issues.
  • Coordinate delivery setups and communicate shipment delays to customers and relevant teams.
  • Review pricing and shipment requirements with sales and marketing teams.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and freight carriers.
  • Manage shipment documentation, including required export paperwork.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and vendor payments.
  • Resolve downgrades and rejected materials by negotiating pricing with customers and vendors.
  • Coordinate logistics services with supervisors and managers across departments.
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude that represents the organization effectively.
  • Participate in team meetings and support initiatives that promote productivity and collaboration.
  • Provide feedback to supervisors regarding service concerns and operational issues.
  • Provide customers with accurate order status information and relevant product knowledge.
  • Meet established service, productivity, quality, and operational goals.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives to support customer service expectations.
  • Assist with special projects and provide support to less experienced team members as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including basic Excel skills.
  • Experience using computer systems in a professional work environment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Must be authorized to live and work in the United States.

Pay

Expected base pay range of $22.50–$26.50 per hour, depending on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors.
