About the role
The Logistics Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between Harbinger's internal teams and external carriers, managing transportation plans, carrier relationships, and logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Partner with material planners and buyers to create and/or update transportation plans for tendering to carriers.
- Manage a panel of carriers for all transportation needs including ocean, air, ground, and parcel.
- Ensure supplier documentation is complete, timely, and compliant with regulations.
- Book and track shipments from pickup to delivery, handling claims for lost, damaged, or late shipments.
- Escalate any transportation delays impacting production.
- Identify and implement opportunities to reduce freight spend through consolidation or service level changes.
- Manage carrier performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), detention fees, and appropriate governance practices.
- Issue RFQs/RFPs for regular transport lanes and project cargo.
- Oversee outbound shipments including samples, engineering/service requirements, returns, and finished chassis/step vans.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in logistics, with a minimum of 1 year in international logistics.
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup formulas, etc.
- Mandatory knowledge of Incoterms.
- Necessary basic understanding of US Customs Brokerage (CBP) import process.
- Hazmat experience/certification preferred.
- Vehicle shipping experience preferred.
- Prior carrier work experience preferred.
- Experience with Oracle Netsuite nice to have.
- Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) nice to have.
- Spanish and/or Mandarin Chinese language skills nice to have.

Pay
California Pay Range: $80,000 - $100,000 USD
