Logistics Coordinator
About the Position
This LOGISTICS COORDINATOR position reports to the Manager – Production Planning and Logistics and is responsible for scheduling carriers for shipment of products, processing Bills of Ladings for shipments, and providing assistance to the Production Planning and Sales staff, where necessary.

What You’ll Do
- Creates and enters Bills of Lading for shipments, schedules truck and rail shipments and confirms shipments
- Coincides carrier rates and performance data
- Expedites rail shipments including tracking of inbound and outbound railcars
- Schedules the return of customer claims and miscellaneous materials that need returned to EQS
- Supports sales efforts for consistent product delivery to EQS customers
- Creates daily line up of truck shipments for “cold” outbound loads
- Distributes Bill of Lading acknowledgments to customers
- Receives logistics related phone calls and coordinates with the shipping department
- Provides back up to the ENS Shipping/Logistics Coordinator and EQS Logistics and Supply Chain Specialist, as needed
- Coincides with outside service vendors to schedule incoming and outgoing loads
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules
- Must have ability and desire to work well with others
- Mets attendance requirements
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary
What You’ll Need
- High school diploma or G.E.D.; Associates Degree in Business preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a Manufacturing/Shipping environment. Steel manufacturing experience is preferred
- Good computer skills with proficiency – Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) preferred
- Ability to work with personnel at all levels of the organization
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
