About You
To succeed as a Logistics Coordinator, you are a self-starter with a positive approach and a passion for exceptional customer service. You are proactive, confident, and possess strong negotiation skills. Highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills, you are eager to join a growing company in an innovative sector.
Responsibilities
- Handle all logistics for incoming and outgoing shipments and imports, including contacting logistics companies by phone, email, and websites.
- Negotiate with trucking companies and warehouses to secure the best rates.
- Save, update, and manage all shipping documentation.
- Document shipments with photos, tracking information, delivery confirmation, and proof of delivery.
- Manage warehouse operations, including confirming shipments against packing lists and changing labels.
- File claims for damaged materials and orders.
- Demonstrate knowledge of Hazmat (certification is a plus; if not certified, you will need to obtain it).
- Send and document product samples to current and prospective customers.
- Oversee warehouse and inventory management.
- Perform general office duties such as scanning, emailing, faxing, cleaning, and filing.
- Run other office errands as required.
Requirements
- Experience in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment.
- Impeccable time management and planning skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Acrobat.
- Valid driver’s license and transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years of logistics experience (preferred).
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
