Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Compliance Coordinator to join our Supply Chain team in Shelton, CT. This temporary-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for an organized, analytical professional looking to grow their expertise in international logistics, import/export compliance, and global supply chain operations. In this role, you will coordinate international shipments, ensure compliance with import/export regulations, collaborate with global partners, and contribute to continuous process improvements. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate international shipments via air, ocean, truck, and intermodal transportation.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays, disruptions, and transportation issues.
  • Parenthesize with freight forwarders, carriers, and international suppliers to ensure timely and compliant deliveries.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain import/export documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and support compliance audits.
  • Aid in export documentation and related compliance inquiries.
  • Generate reports and analyze logistics data to identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and support continuous process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency.
  • Assist with freight audit activities by reviewing rates and identifying discrepancies.
  • Process logistics invoices, ensuring accurate coding, approvals, and tracking.
  • Support logistics system testing, enhancements, and data integrity initiatives.
  • Work closely with internal departments, global suppliers, freight forwarders, and external partners.
  • Cook closely across regions and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain smooth logistics operations.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, import/export coordination, or supply chain operations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and international partners.
  • Experience with JD Edwards or global trade management systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
