Logistics Clerk/Driver

Stage, load, and unload finished products and raw materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to deliver goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Perform routine inspections of the vehicle before and after trips to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during interactions with clients, addressing any questions or concerns regarding deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving, promoting a safe working environment.
• Assist in moving items as needed during loading and unloading processes.
• Support shipping area activities, including packing, labeling, organizing, and staging materials for shipment.
• Perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties in warehouse, shipping, and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
• Support other operational, warehouse, shipping, and facility-related duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, forklifts, or similar equipment is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Previous experience in commercial driving or related fields is advantageous.
• Must be able to work flexible hours as required by delivery schedules.
• A commitment to safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.

Physical/Medical Requirements

• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must be able to pass a background and DMV check per DOT guidelines.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
