About the role
This role focuses on logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate and efficient preparation, packaging, and shipping of products while maintaining inventory organization and accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Prepare delivery documents, packing lists, shipping documents, and proforma invoices.
- Prepare shipments and documentation for UPS, FedEx, and other carriers’ software or forms, including international shipments.
- Prepare product for shipping per Astrolab procedures and customer requirements.
- Assemble shipping cartons and related packaging as required.
- Attach labels to product and packaging, pack, and secure product in appropriate shipping containers per Sales Order requirements.
- Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
- Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
- Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications.
- Pack, seal, and label materials for shipping.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked in the warehouse.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using a computer.
- Perform cycle counts.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, or other labeling requirements.
- Responsible for resupply and maintaining accuracy in the cable and cable raw production supply areas.
- Assist in other areas as requested.
Requirements
- High school diploma or its equivalent.
- 2 years of administration experience; inventory and/or shipping experience preferred.
Skills
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software: SAP.
- Electronic mail software: Microsoft Outlook.
- Good administrative skills and expertise.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and other MS Office software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks in parallel and prioritizing effectively.
- Ability to handle change effectively.
- Customer focus and ability to manage customers and peers with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds; cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Pay
$25.00 - $30.00 an hour based on experience.
