Logistics Clerk

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Clerk to support daily shipping, receiving, and inventory coordination activities in Bakersfield, California. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on logistics experience who can keep materials moving accurately, efficiently, and securely. The role requires strong organization, consistent follow-through, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure materials are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Verify deliveries, inspect shipment contents, and maintain clear receiving and shipping records.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and related paperwork in accordance with operational requirements.
• Communicate with carriers, warehouse personnel, and internal teams to resolve delivery or routing issues.
• Track inventory movement and update logistics records to support accurate stock control.
• Support day-to-day shipping and receiving operations while maintaining organized storage and staging areas.
• Follow site procedures for material handling, workplace safety, and personal security compliance.
• Assist with logistics process updates or operational changes as needed to support business requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, shipping and receiving, or a related operational support role.
• Practical knowledge of shipping functions, freight coordination, and material handling processes.
• Ability to complete documentation accurately and manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working in the logistics industry within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution setting.
• Familiarity with safety practices and personal security procedures in an operational environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and carriers.
• Basic computer proficiency for maintaining shipment records, tracking information, and operational data.
