Responsibilities
- Promote a "Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time" culture.
- Observe work areas for unsafe behaviors or conditions and report hazards to the supervisor.
- Follow all safety policies, including HAZWOPER, ECP, and LOTO.
- Participate in monthly safety meetings and maintain a safe work environment.
- Safely and efficiently perform assigned tasks to meet daily productivity goals.
- Follow all work processes and work instructions.
- Prepare cylinders for shipment by: Removing old labels, painting, inspecting, wrapping valves, applying labels per DOT requirements, barcode scanning, loading onto pallets.
- Perform shipping and receiving ERP transactions.
- Ensure ERP transaction accuracy for operational efficiency.
- Prepare shipping documentation according to policies and DOT regulations.
- Cook up deliveries and pickups with common carriers and locations.
- Ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks.
- Load and unload sea containers while complying with IMO, IMDG, and Customs requirements.
- Maintain inventory control records.
- Conduct inventory cycle counts.
- Escalate safety or quality concerns.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics operations, including: Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse operations, Inventory management, Forklift certification required.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to follow work instructions and safety protocols.
- Understanding of the properties and hazards of chemicals and compressed gases.
- Experience filing IMO, AES, and ISF documentation.
- Ability to learn quickly, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in: Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Knowledge of: 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, IMDG regulations.
- Complete all required training as assigned.
