Role Overview
- Deliver, distribute and store medical supplies and oxygen tanks in appropriate location per department guidelines with established time frames.
- Identifies and maintains par levels daily of medical supplies in exam/infusion rooms as well as storage closets and supply carts.
- Implements any changes, additions or deletions of supplies approved by management.
- Checks all orders received for accuracy against requisition form and packing slips while distributing and storing medical supplies.
- Maintains par levels of medical supplies in exam/infusion rooms as well as storage closets and supply carts.

- Monitors stock usage and identifies fast and/or slow-moving items so ordering can be adjusted to achieve maximum efficiency in exam rooms as well as storage rooms.
- Follow proper procedure for returning incorrect or damaged supplies and re-order unfilled items from appropriate vendor.
- Stock appropriate linen in assigned areas per departmental guidelines.
- Responsible for storing supplies neatly for easy access and cleanliness of storage bins, drawers and cabinets in accordance with sterility and environment of care guidelines.
- Checks dated supplies on a consistent basis to ensure products are not expired.
- Avoids problems by ordering depleted items as soon as possible.
- Offers approved substitute for out of stock/back ordered items when appropriate.
- Consistently follows up daily with various vendors on the status of back ordered items and notifies pertinent staff of such status if it becomes critical.
- Processes all supply requisitions, packing slips and credits per departmental guidelines.
- Provides support and coverage in areas assigned as needed.
Key Qualifications & Core Skills
- One (1) year minimum of medical supply stocking experience.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work and push heavy carts as well as standing for long periods of time.
- Basic computer knowledge.

Location: 1101 Hempstead turnpike Uniondale NY. 11553
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 12pm to 8pm
must be flexible.
