About the role
Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Logistics Associate II - 1st Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $21.25 - $24.68 per hour. Shift hours: 7am-3:30pm.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, process and ship materials/product in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner.
- Generate labels and communicate with internal and external resources.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
- Follow all customer requirements and DOT regulations.
- Perform assignments independently and understand written instructions.
- Able to learn packaging processes in a clean room environment.
- Able to learn ERP/packaging transactions.
- Independently package and ship runner programs.
- Understand product quality requirements and follow non-conforming material processes.
- Report findings to team.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of relevant shipping/logistics experience or Military experience.
- Previous experience using various hand tools, packaging equipment, and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of standard shipping practices and the use of common packaging tools, hand tools, measuring equipment.
- Possesses knowledge of standard packaging requirements including sealers, labeling techniques, and packaging equipment.
- Able to perform assignments independently and understand written instructions with support of the team on shipping processes following company policies and processes.
- Able to learn packaging processes in a clean room environment.
- Able to learn ERP/packaging transactions.
- Able to independently package and ship runner programs.
- Understand product quality requirements and follow non-conforming material processes.
- Reports findings to team.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma with Skilled Trade certification or Associates Degree.
- 3 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or Assembly and Test Position experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts.
- Able to follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision.
- Able to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments.
- Must be able to stand and walk for most of the work day.
- Must be able to lift, carry and stack 35lbs from floor level to shoulder level.
- Must be able to push/pull a pallet using a pallet jack.
- Must be able to load/unload trucks outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Able to engage in Eaton culture opportunities (ex. iERG participation).
- Able to identify improvement opportunities, resulting in a decrease of lead time, cost savings, elimination of waste, or safety improvement.
