Position Overview Busek is looking for a hands-on Logistics and Purchasing Coordinator to support the day-to-day movement of materials, equipment, and finished products while also assisting with purchasing and supplier activities. This is a hands-on role for someone who likes to keep things moving and organized. The person in this position will handle shipping and receiving, prepare and track shipments, receive and organize incoming materials, and help maintain inventory. The role will also support purchasing by obtaining quotes, creating purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, and following up on deliveries. The ideal candidate is comfortable working at a computer but is equally comfortable being on the floor, receiving a delivery, preparing a shipment, moving material, or helping solve a problem when something does not arrive as expected. Responsibilities Shipping and Receiving Receive incoming materials, components, equipment, and suppliesVerify shipments against packing slips and purchase ordersInspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepanciesPrepare and package domestic and international shipmentsCoordinate shipments with carriers and freight providersPrepare shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, and other required paperworkTrack shipments and follow up on delayed or missing deliveriesAssist with loading and unloading shipmentsMove materials throughout the facility as neededMaintain an organized shipping and receiving area Purchasing Create and process purchase orders for materials, supplies, and servicesObtain quotes and compare pricing, lead times, and availabilityCommunicate with suppliers regarding orders, delivery dates, pricing, and shortagesTrack open purchase orders and follow up with vendors on late or incomplete deliveriesHelp identify alternative suppliers when materials are unavailable or lead times become an issueMaintain accurate purchasing and supplier informationSupport the purchasing and supply chain team with day-to-day activities Inventory and Materials Help maintain accurate inventory recordsOrganize and label materials, components, and suppliesAssist with inventory counts and reconciliationIdentify shortages, discrepancies, or damaged material and communicate issues to the appropriate teamCoordinate the movement of materials between receiving, inventory, manufacturing, engineering, and other areasHelp maintain an organized and efficient materials storage area General Operations Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and other departmentsHelp resolve day-to-day logistics and material issuesMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentFollow company procedures for handling, storage, shipping, and receiving of materialsPerform other duties as needed to support Busek's operations Qualifications Experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, purchasing, warehouse operations, manufacturing, or a related fieldExperience preparing and receiving shipmentsExperience working with vendors and suppliersFamiliarity with purchasing or procurement processes is preferredStrong organizational and follow-up skillsComfortable using computers and Microsoft OfficeAbility to maintain accurate records and documentationGood communication skills and ability to work with people across the organizationAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentComfortable working in a hands-on environmentAbility to lift and move boxes, materials, and equipment as requiredExperience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering environment is a plus What We Are Looking For The right person does not need to be a career buyer or a warehouse specialist. You should be comfortable jumping in to receive a delivery in the morning, preparing a shipment, following up with a supplier on a late order, entering a purchase order, and helping move material where it needs to go.
