About the role
The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is seeking a Student Co-Op for its Sensors and Electromagnetic Applications Laboratory (SEAL) for Fall 2026. The intern will be responsible for assisting with logistics in the procurement and receiving process, identifying areas of inefficiency, assisting with logistics of inventory management, managing Bills of Materials by utilizing database tools, and performing physical inventory audits.
Responsibilities
- Assist with logistics in the procurement and receiving process
- Identify areas of inefficiency
- Auxiliary with logistics of inventory management
- Manage Bills of Materials using database tools
- Perform physical inventory audits
- Cook up work orders, kitting, and quality assurance
- Develop and implement processes across the program, lab, and potentially the organization
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering/STEM, business, or related fields
- 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
- Must be eligible to be approved by your college/university to participate in a co-op program and register for co-op credit with your university during work terms
- Must be able to complete at least three full-time co-op terms (alternating three terms of full-time work at GTRI with semesters of full-time school) prior to graduation
- Ability to come in to CCRF in person
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to clearly communicate with suppliers, vendors, and engineers
- Ability to handle/lift and deliver parts
- Customer Service Experience
- Experience with Inventory Management Systems
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
