Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Own and maintain accurate inventory across multiple facilities, including raw materials, hardware, and finished goods
- Lead cycle count programs, physical inventories, and audit processes; drive root cause corrective actions for discrepancies
- Establish and enforce inventory control standards, including FIFO and location accuracy
- Ensure all inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, shipments) are accurate and timely in the ERP system
- Partner with Purchasing, Production and Planning to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules
Logistics and Shipping & Receiving
- Oversee operations of shipping, receiving, and internal material movement across all facilities
- Timely and accurate receiving, inspection, and system entry of incoming materials
- Ensure all outbound shipments meet customer requirements, documentation standards, and on-time delivery expectations
- Plan and coordinate transportation, including internal drivers and external carriers, optimizing cost and service levels
- Maintain accurate shipping records including bills of lading, GPS logs, and scale tickets as applicable
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a multi-functional team including drivers, shipping/receiving associates, inventory control, and material handlers
- Establish clear expectations, monitor performance, and hold team accountable to safety, quality, and productivity standards
- Conduct hiring, onboarding, training, performance reviews, and corrective actions as needed
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
- Drive employee engagement and ensure alignment with company values and operational goals
Safety, Compliance & Fleet Oversight
- Lead and manage the company’s vehicle and driver safety program
- Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and internal safety requirements
- Provide ongoing driver safety training, reporting, and incident follow-up
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase inventory accuracy, reduce waste, and improve material flow
- Develop and track KPIs (inventory accuracy, on-time shipping, receiving efficiency, etc.)
- Lead problem-solving related to inventory discrepancies, shipping errors, and material shortages
- Support cross-functional initiatives with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain
Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or distribution environment
- Experience working in an ERP system (Shoptech strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of inventory control practices, material flow, and warehouse operations
- Proven experience managing teams across multiple functions and/or locations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook; PowerPoint preferred)
- Strong leadership presence with a hands-on, floor-oriented management style
- Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and system integrity
- Able to manage multiple priorities across locations in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Data-driven mindset with experience developing and using KPIs
