Responsibilities

  • Determine material requirements in accordance with production plans and customer needs, and disposition all purchased parts for each project via ERP system.
  • Control inventory and secure availability of materials for production.
  • Communicate with suppliers, initiate special transportation, plan inventory, and clarify debit balances.
  • Track and report on deliveries and backorders from suppliers.
  • Perform data entries in the ERP system.
  • Coordinate workflow between goods receipt, production, and shipping departments.
  • Arrange material pickup from suppliers or storage warehouses.
  • Manage inventory levels according to the profit plan.
  • Support material planning for new launches and build-outs.
  • Understand, apply, and meet all function-related requirements for Quality Systems, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Product Safety, Compliance, and Information Security.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Work additional hours or overtime as needed to complete job duties on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience within the automotive supply chain industry.
  • Ability and willingness to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturing plants, which may require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Ability to multitask, interact politely and professionally with customers, suppliers, and vendors, and work cooperatively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain predictable and regular attendance, arrive on time, or be ready to work at assigned locations (plant, corporate office, or remote).
