About the Role
The Logistics Analyst will provide support for PJFS QCC transportation teams in systems administration (routing, dispatch, fleet telematics and safety systems), dispatch operations, logistics design work, resource utilization assessment, data analytics, KPI compilation and assessment, and department audits. Support will primarily be centralized from the corporate office, with occasional on-site support at QCCs.
Responsibilities
- Systems Support – Provide support for routing, dispatch, fleet telematics, and safety systems. Coordinate testing and training for system enhancements and upgrades. Perform data entry and maintenance as needed. Track system support needs to identify trends in system issues and user proficiency. Participate in limited after-hours on-call coverage.
- Operations Support – Assist QCC transportation teams by identifying and correcting systems process errors and addressing deviations from normal workflows due to demand surges, operational issues (e.g., production breakdowns), or environmental disruptions (e.g., extreme weather).
- Logistics Design Work – Support initiatives to optimize routes, fleet territory coverage, driver schedules, and equipment utilization. Partner with the inventory management team to assess fleet coverage for inbound lanes. Analyze historical data to identify trends and report on opportunities using route optimization systems and other data tools.
- Reporting – Provide detailed analysis and reporting of transportation operation performance. Create weekly scorecards and maintain KPI dashboards using data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools.
- Auditing – Use data from various systems to monitor process adherence in transportation operations, including invoice processing, driver performance, scheduling, fueling, and maintenance.
Requirements
- College degree required; bachelor’s degree or above preferred (relevant fields: mathematics, computer science, advanced statistics, logistics, supply chain management).
- Relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain management, or transportation management.
- Experience with routing/dispatch systems.
Skills
- Basic office skills: professional email and phone communication, active participation in team meetings and calls.
- Fluent in Microsoft Office suite with advanced Excel skills (lookup formulas, pivot tables, charts, macros). Proficient with Teams, CoPilot AI, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Familiarity with transportation management systems preferred (e.g., Manhattan, Oracle OTM, McLeod LoadMaster, TMW Appian Direct Route, OmniTracks, PeopleNet, Samsara).
