Logistics Analyst
About the role
The Logistics Analyst supports the HealthTrust Freight Management (HT FM) Program, with a focus on the ROI Regard brand business, by gathering, analyzing, and reporting logistics data to help drive cost-effective transportation decisions for member organizations. This role partners with internal teams, external vendors, and carriers to support freight compliance, identify savings opportunities, and improve overall program efficiency. The analyst also plays a key role in vendor communication, shipment and data tracking, billing support, and member reporting.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily inbound and outbound shipments for the ROI Regard Brand through MercuryGate TMS, including tendering loads, preparing shipment documentation (BOLs, packing lists, commercial invoices), and ensuring accurate routing.
- Support day-to-day HT FM Program operations for ROI Regard, including onboarding new vendors, tracking compliance, and resolving shipment or routing issues.
- Analyze shipment data to identify cost-saving opportunities, routing optimization, and behavioral trends across parcel, LTL, FTL, and specialized modes.
- Monitor vendor and carrier compliance with routing instructions and approved carrier lists, escalating non-compliance when necessary.
- Track and manage real-time shipment status, proactively identifying delays, service failures, or exceptions and coordinating resolutions with carriers and vendors.
- Perform TMS data entry and maintenance, ensuring accurate shipment details, status updates, and data integrity across internal freight systems to support ROI Regard operations.
- Conduct monthly freight audit and reconciliation, validating invoices, shipment records, and accessorial charges to ensure billing accuracy.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of logistics, supply chain, or transportation experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Experience with freight audit and payment preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools preferred.
