About the role
SAIC is seeking a Mid level Logistician to support NSWC Crane, Bedford, IN Division.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review calibration requests from Calibration Custodian
- Request and report calibration quotes from vendors
- Care for retrieval of equipment from Calibration Custodian
- Manage outbound shipping logistics for calibration services
- Receive and inspect returned equipment following calibration services
- Obtain Calibration Certification for Metrology Engineer to perform technical review and approve
- Upload finalized calibration data and certification records into the calibration management system following Metrology review
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date calibration records in compliance with company and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team, working closely with other support entities
- Cook up efforts with technical and professional personnel on matters affecting equipment performance, test objectives, and calibration/certification reliability and effectiveness
- Utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe, clean, and secure working environment
Qualifications
- Bachelors and three (3) years or more of related experience; Masters and one year of related experience
- Experience in logistics tasking related to position accepted in lieu of a degree
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, databases)
- Must be able to obtain a full Secret Clearance; no clearance required to start
