About the Role
The Business Analytics Lead (Strategic Analytics Leader) is a senior leadership position responsible for driving enterprise-wide business strategy through advanced analytics, data-driven decision making, and operational insights. Reporting to the Head of the Provider Operational Health Team, this role leads multiple analytics teams supporting the PX&O (Provider Experience & Operations) organization.
The successful candidate will partner closely with executive leadership to develop long-term strategic initiatives, influence technology investments, build business cases, improve provider and customer experiences, and lead high-performing analytics teams that deliver measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership to define and execute strategic initiatives.
- Support multi-year operational and business planning.
- Develop business cases for strategic investments and transformation initiatives.
- Influence enterprise decision-making using data-driven insights.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership.
- Lead multiple analytics teams delivering strategic insights.
- Develop analytical models that solve complex operational challenges.
- Identify business trends, risks, and opportunities through advanced analytics.
- Generate actionable recommendations that improve operational performance.
- Apply statistical, financial, and business analytics methodologies.
- Utilize a data-first approach to support business decisions.
- Collaborate with enterprise data teams to improve data quality and accessibility.
- Influence future data architecture and analytics capabilities.
- Translate operational data into meaningful business insights.
- Collaborate with Product, Technology, and Operations teams.
- Support development of future technology roadmaps.
- Evaluate AI-driven solutions and emerging technologies.
- Measure business value generated from technology investments.
- Improve provider and customer experience through digital transformation.
- Build strategic business cases supported by financial analysis.
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and investment decisions.
- Analyze operational performance and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Support enterprise transformation initiatives.
- Prepare executive presentations and strategic reports.
- Present analytics findings to Vice Presidents and executive leadership.
- Develop compelling visualizations and business storytelling.
- Communicate complex analytical insights in a clear, business-focused manner.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Directors, Senior Managers, and analytics professionals.
- Build high-performing, collaborative analytics teams.
- Recruit, coach, and retain top talent.
- Remove organizational barriers to enable team success.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.
- 10+ years of business analytics, operations, consulting, or strategic planning experience.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience.
- Minimum 4 years of consulting or business analysis experience.
- Experience leading business strategy and analytics initiatives.
- Strong SQL experience in business environments.
- Advanced financial analysis and business modeling skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across Operations, Technology, Product, Finance, and Business functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Master's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience in healthcare operations or provider operations.
- Experience developing enterprise analytics strategies.
- Knowledge of AI, predictive analytics, and advanced analytical techniques.
- Experience leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting operational strategy within healthcare organizations.
