About the Role

The role of Logistics Analyst will intersect with all of the other functions within CS&S as well as many departments across greater NA Supply. The primary objective is to facilitate the smooth performance of the transportation link in Diageo’s supply chain. Key to achieving this objective is establishment of effective relationships with key partners, including third-party logistics providers, Diageo CS&S, Commercial colleagues, and the Innovation & Conversion teams.

Diageo’s supply chain is dynamic, requiring flexible and forward-thinking transportation operations. The Logistics Analyst will work with logistics providers to adapt to Diageo’s changing business needs and drive continuous improvement in cost base and service levels.

Responsibilities

  • Support seamless execution of Diageo’s transportation operations.
  • Deliver Transportation’s financial and service targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Diageo’s transportation partners.
  • Support the successful delivery of Diageo initiatives and projects impacting the transportation function.
  • Coordinate invoice payment of transportation vendors.
  • Help develop AOPs (Annual Operating Plans) and track transportation expenses vs. AOP.
  • Provide costing estimates to other Diageo departments and perform various cost analyses.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of practical supply chain experience and a relevant undergraduate degree.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and build third-party relationships.
  • Understanding of general financial and accounting principles.
  • Project management experience.
  • Significant understanding of SAP, Microsoft Office Suite, and BIA tools such as PowerBI or Qlik.
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with a high degree of systems knowledge, especially SAP.
  • Experience with formalized performance management and reporting (KPIs).
  • Awareness of contract management terms and reporting.
  • Awareness of BCP (Business Continuity Planning) and risk management techniques.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to speak conversational Spanish is preferred but not required.

About the Team

This role is one of four Logistics Analyst positions within Diageo’s Supply Chain and Manufacturing team. Workload is balanced across business units, with each analyst having tactical responsibility for a subset of Diageo’s transportation operations. The team collaborates to improve cost efficiency and service levels while supporting Diageo’s broader goals, including environmental sustainability and supplier support.
