About the role
As a Logistics Analyst your goal is to execute logistics plans for the delivery and distribution of finished products and ensure product arrives complete, on time, and in a cost effective manner. You’ll maintain appropriate records, prepare reports, and coordinate logistics activities with internal and external customers.
Responsibilities
- Provide frontline support for daily logistics operations, resolving issues and ensuring on time delivery of products
- Participate in developing and implementing logistics plans affecting the delivery and distribution of finished products
- Identify and analyze root causes of issues and work with logistics partners to develop solutions and performance improvement measures
- Cultivate relationships with other departments to understand their customers’ needs and propose ideas to exceed expectations
- Document and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) as needed
- Maintain department shipment data and records, run monthly reports, identify trends and opportunities for cost savings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field OR equivalent education and experience
- At least two years experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Comprehensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, Google Applications, and other software associated with assigned work
- Well-developed knowledge of ERP systems like SAP
- Well-developed ability to meet deadlines and organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented
- Solid knowledge of the principles of transportation logistics
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to communicate and interact with diverse groups of people
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
