Logistics Analyst

About the role

Provide product support for Commercial Avionics Programs in Endicott, New York. Incumbent will support the Product Support Engineering Lead for assigned programs to include costing, scheduling, project management, technical authoring, and configuration management. Incumbent will work as a team member supporting the preparation, maintenance and revision control of technical documentation, distribution of product software; act as liaison between Product Support Engineering team and the Aftermarket and Production teams and act as the voice of the customer for all matters pertaining to product support.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate Commercial Product Support Agreement (PSA) and Customer Support Agreement (CSA) requirements for ILS compliance and coordinate with functional interfaces.
• Create new and revised technical publications, including Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs) and Service Bulletins.
• Review Boeing comments for technical publications and create responses to address any issues.
• Manage and review the development of formal Product Training to include plans, materials, and Instructor/Classroom training.
• Coordinate customer visits to BAE Systems facility, including providing invitation letters, working with Site Security, etc., to ensure a positive customer experience.
• Manage and review the development of technical manual development plans, materials development, verification and validations for programs supported.
• Ensure that Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) properly address the total Logistics impact.
• Proactively lead the establishment and maintenance of good internal and external customer relations on assigned program(s) to position the program(s) to capture additional work for programs supported.
• Implement the Company’s philosophy of operation and associated policies and procedures for ILS design/support responsibility.
• Achieve continuous improvement of ILS processes and assure compliance of company approved ISO-9001 quality management techniques, throughout assigned areas.
• Develop and document maintenance concepts and plans.
• Manage and review the development of Test Requirements Document(s) (TRD).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or scientific field or its equivalent +3-5 years experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability, maintainability, safety, field engineering and/or military technical field experience)
• Proficiency with personal computers
• Familiar with MS Office tools
• Desire to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment

• Fluency with engineering drawings, related change documentation, and configuration management
• Familiarity with the military and commercial technical publications process and ATA specifications
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
• Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and negotiating with company personnel, customers and suppliers
• Utilize computer skills to prepare appropriate reports and documents
• Make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations
• Analyze, evaluate, develop and implement processes and systems within budget and adhere to time requirements and schedule
• Design and develop products and services using Logistics state-of-the-art technology, principles, theories and concepts

Qualifications

• BSEE +10 years experience in logistics engineering or related engineering disciplines (i.e., reliability, maintainability, safety, field engineering and/or military technical field experience)
• Additional Preferred Experiences: Familiarity with BAE Systems test equipment or Commercial Electronics products, Familiarity with Arbortext authoring tool

Full-Time Salary Range: $61278 - $104173
