Logisitics Coordinator

About the role
The Logistics Coordinator is part of the Operations team at the LaPorte PAO plant, responsible for ensuring all plant SAP and order documentation activities associated with shipment of orders are fulfilled. This role maintains high standards of customer service for internal and external customers while supporting compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations to promote safety and environmental sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Interface with customer service, shipping, security, commercial, terminal personnel, manufacturing, independent lab, independent surveyor, and internal/external logistics personnel.
- Maintain and create ISO 9000 procedures for logistics functions at LaPorte; participate in internal and external audits (e.g., 20 Principals, ISO 9000).
- Maintain DOT Hazardous Material and RCRA certification, including yearly refresher training.
- Schedule Waste Water, Fuel Oil, and Mixed Monomer shipments.
- Enter service infringements and customer complaints in Gensuite (Benchmark).
- Participate on the LaPorte Quality Team to address service infringements and customer complaints.
- Issue tank sample instructions to Third Party Terminal for certification.
- Assign tanks and railcars for Third Party Terminals to load customer orders.
- Participate in PAO Scheduling Meetings.
- Generate Certificates of Analysis for all PAO/LAO and outbound spent material shipments.
- Email Bill of Lading and Certificate of Analysis as requested in delivery notes.
- Coordinate railcar and trailer shipments of PAO/LAO products to Third Party Terminals with Unit Engineers and others.
- Input production and UB orders for terminal inventories into SAP daily.
- Ensure customer service requirements are met by processing orders, creating loading/delivery notes, and monitoring LMR listings.
- Goods issue all outbound materials within 24 hours of shipment.
- Handle split batch on LAO export and domestic orders.
- Assist with month-end closing activities for inventory reconciliation at the LaPorte site and Third Party terminals.
- Prepare railroad switch lists daily.
- Provide backup to Logistics Manager for daily reports and transactions, including:
- Updating Joffre in-transit spreadsheet and Vopak Deer Park railcar status report.
- Issuing pipeline transfer schedules to Vopak Deer Park.
- Managing railroad shipment information and barge shipments from Chocolate Bayou to Vopak.
- Tracking in-transit railcars from Chocolate Bayou to BWC and from LaPorte to Terminals.
- Coordinate shipment and delivery of samples to customers, third-party labs, and LaPorte labs.
- Monitor INEOS Isomerization unit operation at terminals and vet utility lines at Third-Party Terminals.
- Track inbound empty railcars and on-site railcar inventory daily.
- Coordinate vessel loading with ship operators to minimize rescheduling trailer shuttles.
- Prepare loading plans for all product shipments daily.
- Vet prior cargoes for vessel shipments and issue marine load instructions to terminals and surveyors.
- Create blended products at Third Party terminals and perform necessary backflush in SAP.
- Approve invoices for services (e.g., surveyor, rail, and truck carriers) within area of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- High School Diploma required; some college preferred.

$69,000 - $75,000 per year.
