About the Role
This locum tenens position involves providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex deliveries, including C-sections and breech births
- Perform surgical gynecology procedures such as laparoscopy
- Conduct office procedures including IUD insertion, colposcopy, and LEEP
- Handle approximately 20-25 clinic patients per shift and 1-6 inpatients
- Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes (1:3 call ratio)
- Manage an average of 700 deliveries annually
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
- Board certification in OB-GYN
- Strong surgical and clinical skills
- Proficiency in handling complex deliveries and office procedures
- Excellent communication and response time
