LOCUMS OBGYN Needed in Kenansville, NC

About the role

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Women’s Care in Kenansville, NC seeks a Board Certified OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. The facility is ECU Health Women's Care - Kenansville, located at 750 S. Kenansville Bypass, Kenansville, NC 28349. The position is locum tenens, no visa sponsorship (J-1/H-1B not accepted), no bonus offered.

Responsibilities

• Provide all call coverage from 7 am 11/25/2026 to 7 am 11/30/2026 – five 24‑hour call shifts.
• Manage inpatient obstetric census (~6 patients/day) with 2‑3 OB checks daily.
• Handle approximately 30‑40 deliveries per month and 14 surgical cases per month.
• Perform procedures including C‑section, hysterectomy, circumcision, postpartum tubal ligation, vaginal delivery, D&C, and laparotomy for ectopic pregnancy.
• Respond to calls within 30 minutes; on‑site presence not required during call.
• Maintain BLS and NRP certification.

Requirements

• Current North Carolina medical license and NC DEA (in hand).
• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD or DO).
• Credentialed in the ECU Health System.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.

Skills

• Proficiency in obstetric and gynecologic surgical procedures (C‑section, hysterectomy, laparotomy, etc.).
• Experience with vaginal deliveries, D&C, postpartum tubal ligation, circumcision.
• Familiarity with EPIC (HealthSpan) EMR.
• Ability to work in a 1:3 call schedule, responding within 30 minutes.

Schedule

• Coverage: 7 am 11/25/2026 – 7 am 11/30/2026 (five 24‑hour call shifts).
• Call schedule: 1:3 (one call shift per three days).
• Must respond to calls within 30 minutes; no requirement to remain on‑site during call.
