LOCUMS General Surgeon Needed in Kenansville, NC
About the role
ECU Health Duplin Hospital, located in Kenansville, NC, is seeking a BC General Surgeon to cover their team. New providers will need to orient the day before their first shift.
Responsibilities
- Both Inpatient & Outpatient Services
- Nights and Weekends Call Coverage
- Established Practice with Existing Surgeon
- 65 Surgical Cases per Month
- LT Will Not Respond to Codes
- ICU / Critical Care Procedures Required
- Support Staff: 2 MDs, 1 Nurse
- ED Has 9 Total Beds
- Colonoscopy Not Required for Weekend Coverage
- Facilities Details: 3 OR, 9 Bed ED, 4 Bed Fast Track, 49 Bed Hospital Inpatients
- Procedures: Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, Bowel Obstructions, I & D, EGD, Amputation, Colonoscopy, Strangulated Hernia

Qualifications
- BC Certification in General Surgery
- Experience in both Inpatient & Outpatient Services
- Experience with Nights and Weekends Call Coverage
- Experience with Established Practice and Existing Surgeon
- Experience with 65 Surgical Cases per Month
- Experience with ICU / Critical Care Procedures
- Experience with Support Staff: 2 MDs, 1 Nurse
- Experience with ED Having 9 Total Beds
- Experience with Colonoscopy Not Required for Weekend Coverage
- Experience with Facilities Details: 3 OR, 9 Bed ED, 4 Bed Fast Track, 49 Bed Hospital Inpatients
