About the Role

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Women's Care - Nags Head, located in Nags Head, North Carolina, is seeking a North Carolina Licensed, Board Certified OBGYN to provide locums call coverage. New providers will need to come in the day before scheduled call for orientation.

Coverage Details

  • Call coverage only, 7:00am – 7:00am
  • December 23rd 7a – December 28th 7a
  • Inpatient only – no clinic

Responsibilities

  • Respond to codes (BLS required from AHA)
  • Perform OB/GYN procedures if called to ER, including C-sections and vaginal deliveries
  • Manage after-hour admissions in hospital as On Call Physician
  • Protocol for after hour admissions: On Call Physician

Practice Setting

  • Average Total Inpatient Census: 3-4
  • Approx. 3-4 Labor and Delivery
  • Average # of patients/day/provider: 16-20
  • Average # admissions: 1-2
  • Average # admissions/night: 2-3
  • No ICU/Critical Care Duties

Hospital Information

  • Outer Banks Hospital
  • 24/7 pediatric hospitalist available
  • 26 Critical Bed Hospital w/ 6 designated psych beds
  • 4 bed convenient care staffed by one APP and a RN or paramedic
  • 3 OR
  • Anesthesiologist Onsite
  • Radiologist 24-hour
  • Laboratory Availability 24-hour
  • ECU Health Air and ECU Health Ground Support to immediately transfer patients
  • EMR = EPIC
