Locum Tenens - Orthopedic Surgery

An Orthopedic Surgeon is needed to provide inpatient on-call and outpatient clinic coverage in Hazard, KY.

Responsibilities

• Perform procedures such as below knee amputations, arthroscopy, and total joint replacements of hips and knees
• Handle 10-15 patient consultations and 5 phone consults per shift
• Provide ongoing coverage of 15-17 days per month
• No admissions required

Requirements

• Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Valid KY or IMLC license
• DEA registration
• Emergency privileges available with 30 days for full credentialing

Work Environment

• Hospital setting with trauma level 4 designation
• Utilize MediTech EMR
