About the role
Seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to provide inpatient care in a hospital setting with a focus on arthroscopy and total joint replacement (hip and knee). The role involves 2.5 clinic days and 2.5 operating room days weekly, with responsibilities including patient consults, surgeries, and taking call. An APP will assist with on-call duties. The role is in an inpatient setting in Cape Girardeau, MO, due to provider shortage. Candidates must be licensed in Missouri and comfortable with call duties. This position offers an opportunity to deliver specialized orthopedic care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a patient load of 25-30 per shift
- Perform surgeries and clinic consultations
- Provide inpatient orthopedic care
- Participate in on-call duties
Qualifications & Skills
- MO license (no IMLC required)
- Proficiency in arthroscopy and total joint replacements
- Experience with Epic EMR system
