Locum Tenens - Neurology

About the role

The position involves providing specialized neurology services, including inpatient and outpatient EEG readings, with onsite hospital coverage when outpatient clinics are not scheduled. The role requires performing procedures such as radiologic exam interpretation, lumbar punctures, brain death examinations, and evoked potentials.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret EEGs for inpatient and outpatient cases
• Provide hospital coverage during scheduled hours and after-hours call
• Manage a patient load of 6-8 patients daily
• Perform required procedures efficiently and accurately
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong expertise in neurology and EEG interpretation
• Experience with radiologic exams, lumbar punctures, and brain death assessments
• Ability to handle after-hours call and hospital coverage
• Excellent clinical and communication skills
