Locum Tenens Job Opportunity in NM for General Surgeon

About the role

Weatherby Healthcare is a charter member of NALTO and has been providing locum tenens staffing since 1995, employing nearly 600 professionals to fill assignments in hospitals, clinics, and healthcare networks nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Clinic averages 5–10 patients per clinic day
• Inpatient, consults, and emergency department: 3–6 patients per day
• Provide inpatient surgical coverage
• Operating room cases: 3–6 per week
• Perform bread‑and‑butter general surgery, with laparoscopic cases approximately 96% of the time
• Perform all diagnostic endoscopies including EGD and colonoscopies
• Care for adult and pediatric patients (ages 1 and older)

Requirements

• Ability to provide inpatient surgical coverage
• Proficiency in diagnostic endoscopies (EGD, colonoscopy)
• Comfort treating adult and pediatric patients (≥1 year)
